EVOLUTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF IKOT ANTIA OBIO UYAI IN IBIONO IBOM LOCALGOVERNMENT AREA AKWA IBOM STATE BY UMOH, ODUDU-ABASI AKAN

INTRODUCTION The name of my village is Ikot Antia Obio Uyai in Utit Obio of Ibiono Ibom Local government Area, Akwa Ibom State. The ancestral home of Ibiono Ibom people is Obio Ibiono.The origin of ibiono ibom and the institution of okuku in the kingdom are tied to the origin and development of Ibibio land. At obio ibiono, ibiono the first son of ibom is said to have married two wives from whom he got eight children. These children or their descendants later fanned out to found new villages and the original eight clans Afaha, Ibiaku, Mbiabong, Ntan, Use, Utit obio, Ididep and Ikpanya Due to unceasing threat of aggression and invasion by the surrounding communities of the farthest part of Ibiono Ibom land, the Chiefs of Ibiono Ibom land at Obio Ibiono sent the strong men of the community to protect its boundaries. Urban planning  is a technical and political process concerned with the use of land, protection and use of the environment, public welfare, and the design of the urban environment, including air, water, and the infrastructure passing into and out of urban areas such as transportation, communications, and distribution networks. [ 1 ] Urban Planning is also referred to as  urban and regional ,  regional ,  town ,  city ,  rural planning  or some combination in various areas worldwide.Urban planning guides and ensures the orderly development of  settlements  and satellite communities which commute into and out of urban areas or share resources with it. It concerns itself with research and analysis, strategic thinking,  architecture , urban design ,  public consultation , policy recommendations, implementation and management.
